Writing is something that I am very passionate about, so any chance I get to write I will take it. I like to think that my writing usually includes well written grammar, and well thought out analogies. Writing is one of my stronger suits, stronger than speaking I believe. During free writing I can always fill the limit of how many words we have to use, sometimes I even go over the limit sometimes and then trim my writing. Some writing examples of mine are specifically in Humanities class, and my Photography and Creative Writing class.
In Class Reading and Discussions (participation)
I always try to keep my participation grade up. When we are at school I will raise my hand 90% of the time when we have to answer a question or prompt. Though school has been a little different during zoom. Now instead of physically raising my hand, I have to either click the button that says “raise your hand”, type my answer into the class zoom chat, or un-mute myself when no one else is sharing their opinions or answers. Although, I’ve been good at participating while doing that. For example, at least once every class I will put an answer in the chat. Sometimes i will answer out loud, but I will ALWAYS answer in the chat
My Area Of Improvement
Constraint and Concise Writing
I may enjoy writing, but I usually write a lot or too much for an assignment or a concise writing exercise. Constraint in my writing is something that I am not very good at because I just love details and going on, and on, and on in my writing. One example of where I can improve in my writing is in my Humanities class assignment titled, “250 Word Constraint Activity: Symbolism #1 Writing”. In this activity we were supposed to write two hundred and fifty words in fifteen minutes. Instead, I had ended up writing three hundred and forty seven words because I had been repeating myself, and writing unnecessary information.
