History Of My Name
Rylee
My parents were driving with my aunt, and she was reading baby names out of a baby name book to my parents. When she said “Riley”, my parents liked that name, but they wanted to spell it differently so they decided to spell it Rylee. Rae Because my aunt was the one who read the Rylee out of the baby book, my parents gave me her middle name. My aunt’s middle name is Rae, and her aunt’s middle name is Rae. My middle name is commonly misspelled for Ray. DiMaggio DiMaggio was my mother’s maiden name. The name originates from Italy. This last name also belonged to the famous American Major League Baseball player, Joe DiMaggio. Or as his family knew him, Joseph Paul DiMaggio, and he was voted the sport's greatest living player in 1969. He had a younger brother named Dominic DiMaggio who also played baseball, and my mother’s brother was named after him. My grandfather has lots of siblings and relatives, some that he didn’t know about, but within these last two years my Mom has looked through records, social media accounts, and family trees and reached out to a few of them. Joe and Dominic DiMaggio are my fourth cousins. Deutsch Deutsch means German in German. For example, if you were to say Deutschland, you would be saying Germany in German. Deutsch also means “The one who came from Germany”. My family is proud of their last name, and every single name of mine is misspelled all of the time, Rylee, Rae, Deutsch, and DiMaggio too. |
