I think that in October, something that shows my work best as a student is the reading and answering question prompts that we do. Whether it’s through peardeck, on a google document, or it is in my notebook. I believe that when I am reading and answering questions, my knowledge is shown a lot more than it would be if I were to listen to something or watch something and then have to answer questions. One example would be “The House On Mango Street” by Sandra Cisneros, which is a book that we are reading in Humanities class currently, and is explained below.
My Area Of Improvement
The House On Mango Street
Currently in Mrs. Howard’s Humanities class, we are reading the book, “The House On Mango Street” by Sandra Cisneros. I chose this to show as one of my best working assignments from October, because I really believe that it is. I always try to be the one to read out loud (although it’s been a little difficult because I’m not a fast typer, and others are so they can put “can I read?” into the chat quicker than I can). But even if I can’t read out loud, I can still follow along with the class and always have the questions done in time.
Watching Videos & Reflecting From Them
One example would be the Seminar Prep as a whole. It was harder for me to comprehend the videos and then right about them/reflect from them. I think that watching videos is harder for me because I can’t go back to what I just read or heard as easily as I would be when I am reading something. For example, if I’m reading an article I can reread it as many times as I need to understand what it is saying, but if I’m watching a video. Earlier as i was explaining the Seminar Prep in the second sentence, it is fully explained in the other sentences. I also think it’s harder for me to comprehend with videos because it’s a little bit of a newer concept to me and my learning styles.
